So anyone got any ideas how the drop cycle works now?
I guess now they'll have to publish lists because their official stance is nothing has changed and it's always been like this. Silly us. Funny how dropcalculators are now all wrong.
someone got some beauties... not sure what time it started happening.
Hard to get clarification from them about what the cycle is now because a) they have contradicted themselves in an email and a phone call or b) they are saying nothing has changed.
Everything will be back to normal by Thursday.
I see Angie's coding skills have improved
I haven't been paying attention, what happened?
I have just had one of my domains deleted that was scheduled for tomorrow.
The domains have all been on multiple different TAGS, so not like they were dropped early by the registrar.
I would suggest renewing any domains you have that are scheduled for release tomororw (9-9-19 expiry date) that you want to keep.
Nominet had maintenance scheduled on Wednesday 9th October, the result of which suspended names a day earlier than they should have. As I use zone files for the basis of my drop list I can see this anomaly.
so is it only tomorrows drops that are affected?
Doesn't change the renewal date. In the past domains have stuck to the cycle even if they've spent one day less/more in suspended state.
I can now see nominet sent out a 7 day cancellation email on 2nd September for a 10th September renewal (i.e. a day earlier than normal) - you've got to be on the ball to keep up with nominet.
Did anyone get anything fab ?
I was after carers but dropped a day later I think
Nice name, I was after that one as well.
I was hoping it would pass under the radar and nobody would notice lol
Nice work spotting and capitalising on this @ANY-Web
Typical though , Not only do Nominet F*** up the suspend/drop timescale they manage to do it on a day when there are actually multiple domains worth catching. Most other days we probably wouldn't even have noticed.
So are wednesdays dropping tomorrow?
Separate names with a comma.
