Have been out all day on family business, so what happened, I saw they threw the top dog under the bus over the weekend, did that change anything? When is the official result published?
Not a lot. Highly stage-managed event, with board people Zooming in to answer pre-sent in questions from darkened rooms (seriously - it was surprising how few had decent lighting). Result should be out around 6pm, but maybe a bit later because the meeting ran late. I'd expect to see it on Twitter and on Nominet's site.
People were talking about it during on this thread - https://www.acorndomains.co.uk/thre...eputation-stability.171272/page-4#post-644975 Nothing interesting to report though really, just have to await the outcome
The conclusion was that most looked pissed off that we had taken them away from the golf course. It could have been pre-recorded as the answers were all scripted.
Same. Old self serving nonsense though some very interesting comments on the discord chat I hadn’t realised the eye water level of salaries ceo and other board member were receiving whilst have scrapped the charity work. Pretty gross really
Worth saving this bit of propaganda for posterity, no matter the outcome... Taken from https://www.nominet.uk/egm/
The leaving Board members may be stalling so they can run round the offices nicking pens and pencils, the odd stapler and some funky glue sticks... oh yes and all the Lotus / Biscoff biscuits... :|
I wonder if the delay is a positive thing as they would be in a rush to get out the news if they had won?
I thought Russell Haworth had completely resigned though. I guess we'll see him at another trough shortly. Maybe he'll appear on the board of a top registrar.
How do you spell "redacted" as there's going to be some commentary no doubt! AKA doing a Sturgeon - put your own man in place and then use him to get your own result on an 'independent' enquiry ... :|
if you are bored, this is mildly entertaining... https://twitter.com/search?q=Nominet&src=typeahead_click&f=live
On the similarities to Sturgeon - "Civica Election Services (CES), independent election scrutineers." who were put in place by Nom - allowed to promote only one message about how we should toe the line and vote... la la la... I could continue.
The sad tragedy of the situation is they actually thought their response to what was asked for...was reasonable. Freezing obscene salaries and freezing reg fees that doubled out of nowhere was clearly not going to cut it and anyone remotely in touch with the real world would know that. Greedy, privileged clowns running a monopoly circus.
