From 15 September, Nominet will begin emailing registrants with rights to a short .uk

Was watching a programme on 4od yesterday.

An advert came on for the .UK from Nominet.

Going on about it being a shorter and better and welcome to the new .uk

I've received an email about this today. I have some domains with Crazy Domains, so I imagine that's why I've been sent it this week, as per the schedule.

There were 3 sample domains listed, two starting with a 3 and the other with an A, so I guess they're sending them out in numeric, then alphabetic order each week.

Exactly what everyone assumed, but not necessarily what the consultation ran on. All those arguments about freeing up domain space!
