From 15 September, Nominet will begin emailing registrants with rights to a short .uk

We’re emailing to let eligible registrants know that:

o The short .uk equivalent of their UK domain has been reserved for them

o This reservation is free, and they are under no obligation to pay anything extra (unless they choose to register the short .uk domain)

Was watching a programme on 4od yesterday.

An advert came on for the .UK from Nominet.

Going on about it being a shorter and better and welcome to the new .uk

Can't find it on youtube yet.

I've received an email about this today. I have some domains with Crazy Domains, so I imagine that's why I've been sent it this week, as per the schedule.

There were 3 sample domains listed, two starting with a 3 and the other with an A, so I guess they're sending them out in numeric, then alphabetic order each week.
