Afternoon all
I have a site which is 3 months old, A nice FTR domain with good exacts which Arron Clifford pointed me to :)

With this site I wanted to do everything by the rule book and see where it got me.
So... I wrote around 11 articles each with 200 to 500 words totally unique. This is supported by non unique content pulled in from amazon. Initially saw good results from this & up to this week it was receiving about 55 uv's a day.
As i said i wanted to do everything by the book so i did not do any low quality link building, only 1 squidoo lens and that's all.

Suddenly the traffic has dropped down to 4 uv's a day and the site is nowhere to be seen?

Should i be worried about it or just let it take its course? Im inclined to think that "since i have done nothing wrong - it will be back" or is there something else?

URL is available by PM if you can genuinely help or advise :)

TIA

I find new sites bounce to the front for a search, then settle down, only to creap back up if there is new content, new links etc.

Seen that happen many times before. Add new content daily, work on links and you'll see it come back up and get more traffic.

I find sites tend to bounce around for a while on even mildly competitive stuff until a decent backlink profile has been put in place.

Keep adding content & links and check back in a month or so.

Google Panda/Farmer has been released in the UK apparently, we've seen lots of sites bouncing around, some jumping up, and others dropping down - so it could be due to that.

Have a read on it, it's all over t'net.

One of the things thats interesting about this update is that Google asked users to look at a variety of sites and give their opinions on them - are these high quality sites, are they there just to earn money for the owners, would you be happy to buy medicine for your kids from this site, etc.

Some of the ranking changes could be down to aesthetics and ad quantity/positioning, since it's a change directed in part by the user experience.

New sites do drop and come back like many others have said. Keep up the content (unique) and link building from related sites and articles and you'll see if come back.

Use the Google Webmaster Tools to check for any problems found for your site. Then maybe resubmit the site for reconsideration if you think its dropped. Do a site:yourdomainname.ext to see if its still in Googles index.

Goodluck

Thanks for all the tips guys, Its now back on page 1 after dropping to page 8 for 3 days??
I cant put my finger on what it is, but as all the content is unique im not worrying..

There's not really anything to put your finger on, it's just what happens with new sites.
