Only .com at the moment. But, i've noticed it's become a bit of a habit . I try to convince myself it's only once or twice a week - But, i know it's more. And I'd stayed clean of new registrations for nearly five years up to now.

Well, there are worse habits ;)

I've been buying a few recently, prices are going up soon.

Buying them up is all well and good, have any sold? Or are you building up a portfolio? :)

Last domain I registered was on January 24. I do keep adding to a list called "Possibles" though :)

Blossom - they've always been up

Chris - Nope, I'm still saving myself

Edwin - Please don't get me on to "lists".- Just that feeling of accomplishment, without toil makes list building worthwhile

Been strong for a few weeks but also registered a .be domain and just signed up for a .co.uk dropcatch..

As long as you have a plan for the domain there is nothing wrong with regging it, just regging loads of domains speculating that someone might one day is just throwing away money imo.

I do a list of possibles too and leave it a week and reappraise again if I would still buy. The sickener is when you go back and one has been regged but that's the game we play.

I guess the question is, can you make back it's reg fee?

Slippery slope... I've given up new regs, wasted so much cash in the past lol

Thanks for the Support guys - it really helps.

My domain-dealer has said don't worry, the stuff thats available today is nothing like as strong as what was on the streets 10 years ago.

No harm in a little dabble then

If the stuff isn't as strong as it used to be you either have to buy more or decide to give up.

How about making a rule that a new domain has to replace a current one unless it's better than 80% of your current domains. This means you literally have to commit to dumping a domain that's in your collection that you don't think is as good as the one you are buying (and hence can put it up for bids here with no reserve). If you truly think the new domain is a corker then no need to think too long about buying it.

Nice one Pred..OK Games-up, Only the few old boys (and girls) amongst us seemed to get the double-play. (Zammo -brings back memories ) I thought my line about being "Back on the Couk" was a cracker.

Having sampled just about everything this life has to offer - I can honestly say not much beats the 'Rush' of a good domain sale (or purchase) and lets face it domaining is definitely addictive.
