Hi Everyone;

I am new to this and, therefore, am especially grateful for any advice that is offered. Thank you.

I have just a few .co.uk domains and I think they are ok, but I don't really know. Any feedback is appreciated.

They include:

chelsearentals.co.uk

malagarentals.co.uk

iavatar.co.uk

rentforthegames.co.uk

This last one I think is the best. Let me explain: I live in Vancouver, B.C. and we are hosting the Winter Olympics in a few months. 350,000 people will be coming to Vancouver and they are short tens of thousands of hotel rooms ... so what is happening is that people are renting out rooms in their homes, or their whole homes, often for startling prices. All this is done via the web and there are several sites where people list their homes. The sites charge $ 200 just for listing your home and also take 25 % of the rental fees. One of these sites lists over 2,000 homes for rent. So I figure that for the 2012 London games, the demand will be even much larger.

Welcome to the forum, I see your reasons for the last domain. Do you have many other domains with other extentions?

chelsea is probably your best, followed by malaga. A lot of rich/business people need rented accomodation in that area during their stay.

Thanks for your reply. I have a few dozen other domains, but as I say I am totally new to this and admit that I don't know much and, it seems, have mostly made mistakes.

To answer your question as to other extensions - I have some .coms that I suspect are ok, such as:

kyotorentals.com

motorcuba.com

kidzflicks.com

kidzfilms.com

samneua.com (Sam Neua is the major city in northern Laos)

However, I also heard somewhere that '365' was the new thing in domains, so I got some really good names and added '365' , but I now understand that these are basically worthless:

rocknroll365.com

saudiarabia365.com

laughs365.com

biblestudy365.com

I also have some domains with the dot-Asia extension, but I have now done some research and have the impression that these are pretty much worthless, because the dot-Asia extension is pretty much worthless:

automobilerentals.asia

filmfans.asia

tattooshops.asia

I believe rentals is an American term and therefore maybe not your best bet with the .co.uk.

I really like the way you see potential, sometimes that pays over time.

Hopefully you will have a bit of luck for the 2012 games, the way the economy is I'm sure a few people will be renting rooms.
