I'm going to resist picking at some of your domain names that I personally think weren't worth registering either. :) :)

Why do you always nitpick? :p

:) We all make mistakes regging. Again this month I have sold more than £400 of hand regges, all from late feb/early march, having only spent about £50 on regges.

What about you? :D

Naff soap? I don't know what planet you're living on but 10 MILLION plus viewers would disagree with you.

I live on planet Earth, have no idea what planet you live on with this thread but it certainly gave me a chuckle. Good luck with your sale anyway, your going to need it!

PS - if this was a wind up then best £5 ever spent.

What makes you think it's valuable?
Because it was mentioned on a soap? And therefore thousands of people will search for it?

For the sake of your argument, it's one of the most watched programmes in the UK, and hundreds of thousands of people will go to your website.

1) How many visitors have been and gone as visited after it was first aired? >90%

2) How many initial visitors will return? Barely any - there was no site, nothing of interest, they don't care. They know if BBC was going to do something funny (like Search the Market owned search the meerkat and did a fun website) it would already be in place months before air when the wrote the script.

3) How many will visit your site from watching catchup? Hardly anyone. People watching catch up were busy when the show was aired, and so probs too busy to visit some pointless website. And same rule applies, nothing of interest, they go to their Facebook, twitter, youtube, forum, something else they really enjoy and barely have time to do.

4) (Important one) Bounce rate!
What content are you going to serve to keep visitors on the site, and returning, that is not hindered by: "I came here cos it was mentioned on BBC"?

NOT because they want to buy a PC and you sell PCs (relevant).
NOT because you give lots of info for their newly purchased gadget, phone, tablet, hifi, whatever (relevant).

5) Your reason for buying it is that tens/hundreds of thousands of people will flock to this website.
Then you must agree that they will have done so when it first aired? Right?
Ok, why did none of these other hundreds of thousands of people buy the domain...?

Great domains go, in milliseconds, or sell for thousands (or some decent ones hundreds).
If it was such a great and amazing idea/domain, you would not have got the domain!
Not for reg fee, and certainly not without a fight with others...

It does not have "lots of natural type in traffic" as you said. Who types in "moving speeches - move speech"...??
The domain name is 100% meaningless!

I could start whatisthissiteforitdoesnotexistbutsowhat.com, promote it and get natural traffic based on some Eastenders based content, and am more likely (if not just as likely) to get as much traffic as you!

I don't know what planet you're living on but 10 MILLION plus viewers would disagree with you
And there are 7 BILLION people on the planet, who ALL take a dump 2-3 times a week.
So "have-a-shit-today.com" will sell for millions then..?

Why not setup Google analytics and prove everyone wrong. (Or, as will happen, realise your site gets little traffic, bounce rate is very high even if you had content as nothing is relevant to "I came here cos I heard the domain name on a soap"..)

If that above doesn't sell, why would yours? Eastenders is mentioned on many talk shows, chat shows, all over the BBC website, and people probably type in "Eastenders" all the dam time, and eastenders.com is for sale...!!!

If you domain was mentioned in a movie, which was at cinema, is to be released on DVD, and then on TV for years after, then you probs would have a winner.

I wish you every luck in getting that VERY rare break, which seasoned users here no longer believe in (for good reasons).
You might get a few grand from someone wanting something specific (not likely related to Eastenders) but I doubt you'll get £30 for just the domain without a site and promoted.

Sounds great - old school domaining is back!

Can you tell us what they were - or did you sign an NDA?

Sure I can.

Anyone else want to have a dig at me? Not my fault if you lost your touch with domains!

I think the main point is there is no obvious commercial value. Even if there is, if it has to be explained, it tends to limit the market & therefore, the sale price (opinion).

.cotton...good effort! :)

whois says Creation Date: 27-mar-2014

You do realise you can not update the domain for 60 days don't you??? (Transfer etc)

wwwmovingspeeches.com

What phil actually said was wwwmovingspeeches.com that's what stopped me registering www.movingspeeches.com when it was FTR by the way wwwmovingspeeches.com is FTR

Movingpeaches.com is still available. Popular typo for Movingspeeches.com
