Problems with eBay and PayPal

Neither eBay or PayPal seem to be working for me and I'm not alone. eBay doesn't load at all and I can't get past the home page on PayPal. Anyone have any info?

Google is full of people complaining, but no word (that I can see) from the companies themselves.

I don't use eBay, but PayPal works fine for me, have sent money using it today, no problem.

That's really odd because all other sites work fine for me, but eBay wont load on any browser and I can't log into PayPal. I've been following a few threads on other forums/Yahoo Answers and it doesn't seem to be just me

Thanks for looking for me. I've just flushed and reset my cache in command prompt with no luck. Shall try on one of my old computers and see if it's something wrong with this computer.

Thanks for looking. It's not working on any of our computers so could be a network issue. Will start by resetting the router and see what happens.

You could try sites like http://isitup.org/ (Is It Up?)when this happens so you can see if the issue is local to you.

I think Royal Mail are having problems today, because when I enter a tracking number on parcelforce.com, it takes me to their Royal Mail help page and says their site is experiencing problems.

Thanks for the link, I've saved it to use it in the future.

Well everything is sorted now, a couple of router resets later and all seems to be working. The thing that threw me was that this was reported by others so something must have triggered it.

Always worth checking your firewall, quite often my McAfee blocks certain web pages it does not trust for what ever reason.
