Totally agree. Almost all of the names for example of the calibre we saw yesterday deserved at least a couple of dedicated brokers ringing & writing to potential buyers.
To be honest, a name like sport.co.uk is so huge imo even a personal visit by a broker to some top people in either British Olympic committeee or ITV sport, JJB anyone. All these could pay a million without any difficulty & properly developed would reap rewards. It may need a good broker with great technical knowledge too though
I mean look at the sale of Vodka.com
Yeah ok, the buyer was a billionaire & it is a 'category crunching name'

lol, but it is a trophy name more than anything. It will get traffic , but bet its not earth shattering.
This sale was pulled off by the old owner, & a sedo broker i believe, they travelled to Russia to sell it.
They got 3 million dollars!
I think for these top, top names they & the sellers could do well to knock up a sort of brochure, like you would for a property, with stats, potential, historical data, past sales, the works.
Pretty graphs, whatever is needed.
I think would help. Not worth it for me and my uk's , but i have a few .com's i'm thinking about it with. Have a few friends who are trying something similar.
But like you say Rob, 10% is a healthy commission, and they need to do more.
Also the end times should have been staggered on the .uk & .mobi auctions imo. Ending all at the same time was stupid. No other word for it.
