So I had a .UK booked with snapnames, they caught it and it went into auction which I was bidding in then all of a sudden my account has been temporarily suspended, anyone else had this problem? I'm now going to miss the auction.

The same happened to me. Did you open a new account especially? They need payment verification to lift the suspension, but there's no customer service over the weekend.

yes me too and they charged my card with Two temporary holds then asked me to verify my account by providing the amounts in a reply to their message, I have done that immediately, still waiting for a few days nothing changed, can't access my preregistered auctions and will never bother to use them again

yes same happened to me 20 minutes before the name i was after was to end, seen as i have been a member for over 3 weeks they decided at that point to suspend my account.

and yes i lost the domain so it will interesting if it happens again on the other 2 domains i am in auction with.

Yes it happened to me but way before the auction thankfully I managed to pick up a couple yesterday but the top tier stuff all went 4 figures. What were you guys after maybe can do a quick flip

I emailed them back and they verified in 2 days, then removed the transactions from the account.

Not only me then, exactly the same thing, provided the 2 small deposit amounts, not heard a thing back.

I wasn't in for that one but lots are going for low - mid four figures

You did well with Discounts.uk :)

It'd be interesting to know if the SnapNames auctions are being contested by folks in the UK or across the pond. There was a bit of hype about the .uk drop stirred up on a few of the American domaining blogs, so are the bidders outsider speculators or UK domainers?

Nope, not yet. I'm still in a few auctions, and I'm winning one of them, but we all know what happens in the last hour.
