The UK ROR 'WHO GOT WHAT?' thread

[Gav]

Sorry guys, I know you were all after it, but we managed to bag pubes.uk today.

[meslam123]

I was hoping for smile.uk no luck

seasons.uk
speeds.uk
shift.uk
phenomena.uk

[twostepsbehind]

must have a hairy few seconds waiting to find out if you'd got it

CatchTiger only managed to bag 1 of 50 or so that I "won" there so far. Don't know how they are doing overall. Snapnames had more luck. Picked a few up with Gandi as well.

Really average Monday/Tuesday then I did a total rewrite, 77 yesterday, 61 today. All dictionary.

I bagged a couple with Snapnames too, but I haven't had a sausage from Gandi.

What were the best ones today? there was no stand out domain that I found

My main targets were:

ni.uk (geo)
stokeontrent.uk (geo)
rsvp.uk (wedding)
room.uk (hotels)
rooms.uk (hotels)
pic.uk (image hosting)
rail.uk (travel)

Missed out on the lot because my script fired too soon despite NTP being synced 5 minutes before. I've added a 100ms delay into my script for tomorrow, last chance to get something worth having.

Thanks for reminding me to renew the .co.uk

A shambles this time. Every domain I polled at 14:00 was still reserved, some were still reserved at 14:01.

It takes a few seconds or so for the epp to confirm the registration and update the availability , the dac is much quicker but not instant by any means

[daxio]

Got q8

...and yet I was getting 'domain exists already' responses from before 2...

[Gav]

No.It's *all* about timing. Worked for me on day 1 and 2 but then seems everyone jumped in or nominet did something. Ah well at least there's only one day left then we can get back to normal.

[iamrofe]

Went for these, didn't get a single one *sobs*

occupationaltherapist.uk
orthodontist.uk
paymentprotectioninsurance.uk
personalisednumberplates.uk
personalloan.uk
plasticsurgery.uk
privatehealthcare.uk
removalcompany.uk
selfstorage.uk

daxio posted a FTR list with heil.uk in it, was tempted to tag him

scunthorpe.uk
