Anyone going in for this? Announced $17-20 today. I recon I will after making 45% on my RM shares...

Fingers crossed on this one. They are still losing money, but they've definitely nailed the mobile ads unlike others. Have any brokers announced they will be selling these shares yet?

When will they be available? November/December kind of time?

Thanks. Is it the case that you'd be able to buy early, or would you be in line behind numerous corporations etc? I'm not awfully knowledgeable about the process.

You can't preorder. There will be limited availability, so like RM, they may restrict somehow. New to this myself though, so someone with more knowledge might chip in here...

If you look at pricing those who already own twitter shares give them (mutual and closed-end funds) its interesting Take T. Rowe $18.18 June 2013 $24.35 in Sept.

Morgan Stanley $16.42 June 2013 to $22.31, Sept but interestingly from Sept, 2011, $16.09 price didn’t increase at all till March 2013, when it raised to $16.60. Which is puzzling given all the buzz going around other social media in 2012?

Wouldn’t be surprised if they dropped after launch then recover so why buy at launch ? I like the adage "They’re all wrong. It's just a matter of degree," Don;t see it as the greatest thing to put your £££ in ?

Anyone any further views on this. Really tempted to put some money in to it, but just need to find the easiest way to do it.

Sounds tricky to get in there early. Are there even any UK brokers selling them on the first day?

Haven't read much to suggest they are worth a punt, other than the price being lower than was expected. Analysts and brokers disappointed that Twitter are way behind Google and Facebook profit-wise at the same stage.

Just looked at buying later via H&L and notice they require a W-8BEN form completed and posted back before you can buy! So that's me out for today's fun... Where is anyone else buying?

Not interested personally, though I do hold some tech funds which will inevitably invest.

i did have some ordered at H&L but i've just cancelled them.

How come? It's a little high at $26 but they own the social media stage and I can't see that changing especially with smart acquisitions like Vine etc...

They're talking it go as high as $45! Damn going to miss this one :-/

Touched $50 about two hours ago... although dropped back to around $46... that is some opening and some quick cash for some!

Didn't it actually open at $46? Ie any shares would have cost that to buy initially?

"a 73% jump from the initial asking price of $26 a share" BBC

So a massive free bonus for anyone with shares that's for sure...

Didn't bother buying any shares in the end, still unsure about it anyway.

Doesn't help when bitcoins are going up and up, makes other investments look terrible although the risk is obviously much higher with bitcoins. Glad I bought a few months ago.
