Come on then, what's your favourite drink? What will you be treating yourself to over the festive period?

For me, I'm very much a bourbon man, whether it's with coke, ginger beer or my personal favourite in an old fashion cocktail (Bourbon, Angostura Bitters, Sugar, Ice & Orange Peel)

lol drinking is a passion of mine ;) although it used to be to get drunk, now it's more to enjoy the actual taste!

Plus.... check the name of this part of the forum ;) quite an suitable thread I feel

My favourites are Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum and coke, Disaronno and Coke, Jack Daniels and Coke, or a tomato juice, but I don't drink that much these days.

Sadly I can't just have one so I'll have to go with a hot cup of tea from now :( Before that just plain old vodka (not the cheap nasty stuff) and orange.

Whiskies from the Highlands, and typically not the ones you see in Tesco and the like. Although a few of them are quite palatable, I prefer the smaller distilleries. The wife isn't keen as the price per bottle goes from high ££ to ££££

I also like my real ales. Again I prefer the artisan ones, to the mass produced rubbish. However, I used to like Old Speckled Hen, when it was made in Abingdon, by Morland. But the Green King lot brought it back at the turn of the century, moved it to their base, and the taste changed.
I know a couple of micro breweries, so that keeps my going :)

JD Straight or with diet coke ( cant stand normal code in anything ), Rum , Good Vodkas and like a decent larger.....Peroni.

Try and stay away from most drinks now though, doesnt mix well with me anymore.

My dad is a huge whiskey fan so I typically buy him Isle of Spay bottles for birthdays and Christmas. Try mastersofmalt if you haven't already, though I'm increasingly finding that the speciality tipples are now available in the supermarkets and on Amazon!!!

Also a Bourbon fan - ( usually JD straight)

I've asked santa for a bottle of "Wild Turkey 101".
Been a good lad this year, so hoping he will oblige.

J&B or Cutty Sark and diet coke, on the rocks, or actually a G&T sometimes. A good cider in summer too.

Can't enjoy bourbon these days - have really had to work my way through a bottle of Jim Beam - would rather a good scotch.

There was a Japanese whisky a couple of years ago - J&B 6 Degrees or something - that was completely clear, but I think that's not available these days.

I'm a bourbon drinker, Wild Turkey, Bulleit, Jim Beam in that order most places seem to have one of them, when I can find it Four Roses is a good pick, but usually hotels which have it (feels like being stabbed in the heart when you get the bill).

Recently bought some Heaven Hills, William Evans and Bulleit Rye.

I *think* I've tried Heaven Hills when I was in yank land but memories a little fuzzy :p

I'm a fan of Bulleit, not tried Wild Turkey, it's def on my 'to try' list. I'm also a fan of Woodland Reserve and Buffalo Trace

Starting to get a taste for Ale now, love a Doom Bar!

I haven't developed a taste for Whiskey I don't think, the smell / taste makes me heave :(

Bourbon fans, try Woodford Reserve, it's good gear, I've tried most bourbons and like this one. Also like JD and it's special versions like Single Barrel , Silver Select. Also like the high end Grand Marniers. Apart from that I like the good Spanish reds, Rioja and Ribero del duero. For lager it has to be Alhambra Especial. :)
