iv had an email asking if i want to sell one of my twitter accounts, does this really happen?

Yes i tried to buy two but didnt think asking was worth it.

yes tried to get hold a few but can be hard to get hold of the owner, and as far as i know is against twitter terms of service, so if you deal privately should be ok.

I personally think twitter should charge a registration fee, just like domain names. I'd pay £3 a year for mine and it might save them having to pratt about putting restrictions on the API, simply so they can line up advertising opportunities.

yes I managed to buy a decent one for £25, was pretty happy with that. Didn't have many followers but was a good name.

Yes that seems like a valuable bargain sometimes, especially if you purchase an online business and then would like to keep in touch with potential customers and hundreds of people who have previously bookmarked the Twitter accounts sold. These days launching a Twitter page is too easy but promoting that is like a complicated project.

Some even big companies might complain about poor traffic their Twitter accounts receive online despite spending a lot of time adding updates to them because followers would sign up just one by one and so, it would be a time-consuming job to enhance Twitter pages. No wonder some accounts are worth fortunes these days.
