Registered my first domain in 1997: didyouknow.com... which has been hijacked and I've been trying to it get back! (See WIPO). Have some other good didyouknow extensions, though.
I usually look for trivia, reference and mobile domains, mostly to develop. Buy any other that I think I can trade with at various domainer forums and tdnam.
Worst domains? dot info domains. Thus said, had lasvegasgames.info for a while, parked, and it actually does get clicks.
To my mind, .co.uk is a good investment, often better than similar dot com names.
Up for sale: compareourprice.co.uk and inmyvideo.com.
